Hello, my name is Kevin Mohamed.
I am currently pursuing my Master's in Applied Digital Sociology at CUNY Hunter College where I explore the intersection of technology, society, and data-driven solutions. My academic focus centers on how digital tools and platforms influence social behaviors, shape cultural norms, and create new opportunities for research and activism.
I received an undergrad in Sociology with a minor in Data Analytics from CUNY Queens College in July of 2023. Since then I have transferred over to CUNY Hunter College where I continue to hone my skills in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. I have a personal fascination with the study of corporate intervention within the digital sphere and how it defines social trends both in and out of cyberspace.
In addition to my coursework, I have developed expertise in using data analytics software such as R Studio and STATA, both of which provide me with the tools necessary to conduct data analysis via qualitative/quantitative coding. I am committed to bridging the gap between academic research and real-world applications, with a goal of contributing to projects that use digital sociology to address societal challenges.
As I continue my studies, I am actively seeking opportunities to collaborate on research projects, internships, or any experience that allows me to apply my experience and knowledge of digital sociology.
